Today, I started The Master Cleanse. It is a program that helps you to lose weight and live a healthy life. It is proven to help with physical ailments ranging from headaches to cancer.
Get healthy is part of our "baby plan" and this is just the beginning for me. To be healthy and comfortable in my skin, I would like to lose 17 pounds.
The Master Cleanse involves drinking 6 glasses of a mixture every day from 5 to 10 days. Also, taking an organic night laxative or drinking a gallon of sea salf water. The mixture consists of fresh lemon juice, organic grade B maple syrup, cayenne pepper, and 8 oz. of water. This mixture is very GROSS and hard to drink. However, it delivers GREAT results, so I am committed.
This morning when I fixed my first "cocktail," I was very nervous. I made the mixture and drank it. I only got half way through before I almost gagged and had to stop. It was ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! The next time I made my "cocktail," it was the same thing. And again the third and fourth time. The fifth time today, I made a change to my procedure.
I decided to hold my nose the entire time I drank the mixture. I held my nose even after I was finished and made sure to swallow a few times. I also sucked on the lemon for a few seconds as well to get the taste out of my mouth.
This method seemed to work a lot better.
I was hungry throughout the day, but nothing like I thought I would be. It was not unbearable. Before this morning, I was fully intending on doing this for 10 days. Half way through the day I was sure that I wouldn't make it to Day 5. Now, I believe that I can surely make it to Day 5 and maybe even Day 10. I am just going to take it day by day and see how I feel.
My husband and mother think that I am crazy and that I am going to harm my body by doing this cleanse. The fact is, people fast all the time and that is basically all that I am doing. I will survive but I appreciate their concern.

Good luck on this cleanse! I was diagnosed with acid reflux in May and had to change my diet. If you want an easy/healthy way to lose some weight, look up what foods to avoid with acid reflux. You can't eat tomatoes, chocolate, anything high fat, etc. I've basically been eating all fruits/veggies/less processed foods and I feel great. Also, find out if there are any barre classes near where you live. I've been taking Pure Barre (but there are other classes out there that utilize the ballet barre) for the past month and it is FABULOUS. I never believed a workout could change my body shape (basically I never gave it long enough to work) but it really does lengthen and tone. You'd love it!
